Life Chance Trust’s mission is to transform the life chances of 16–25-year-olds who have experienced childhood trauma. You will be supporting a charity that is delivering real impact to some of the most vulnerable young people in Devon. www.lifechancetrust.org.uk
We’re seeking a new volunteer fundraiser to identify and organise fun events throughout the year, raising funds and generating positive PR. The Fundraising Lead will have some knowledge and experience of event planning and have the enthusiasm to support a local small charity. They will have brilliant organisation skills and be able to work with other agencies and charities.
Responsibilities and Objectives
- To help raise funds for Life Chance Trust so it can provide the services to meet the needs of its young people.
- Plan and deliver local and community fundraising and awareness events.
- Support with the marketing to advertise fundraising events Life Chance Trust is a part of.
- Approaching individuals, shops, organisations for sponsorship and donations.
- Identify new opportunities to raise funds for Life Chance Trust.
- Develop and nurture relationships with volunteer fundraisers, with the aim of maximising funds.
- Develop and nurture relationships with potential funders and fundraising, e.g. local trusts, businesses, community groups and schools.
- Co-ordinator the recruitment of volunteers to support local fundraising.
- Ensure the health and safety of participants and volunteers at fundraising events and activities.
Experience and skills
- Some experience and knowledge of event planning.
- A professional and friendly manner.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus but not essential.
- Commitment to work in compliance with policies and procedures.

- Raise any concerns at the earliest opportunity.
- Give us as much notice as possible should you be unable to attend or carry out your volunteer role with us anymore.
