Location: Office based at Teignmouth Hospital with flexibility to attend events, training delivery and functions |

Start/End Date: 3-month probationary period leading to 24-month contract (subject to funding) |

Role Purpose
The Volunteer Co-ordinator will support the effective recruitment, coordination and development of volunteers across Volunteering in Health. Working as part of a team, the post holder will help ensure volunteers are well supported, appropriately matched to roles and engaged in meaningful activities that contribute to the organizations work.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
· Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding and induction
· Maintain accurate volunteer records, including contact details, training and compliance information
· Provide day-to-day support and communication for volunteers
· Match volunteers to suitable opportunities in line with their skills, interests and availability.
· Support the planning and delivery of volunteer training and development sessions.
· Attend and represent the organization at events, training delivery and community functions when required.
· Work closely with colleagues to support team-based delivery and organizational priorities
· Monitor volunteer activity and contribute to reporting feedback and impact measurement.
· Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive volunteering experience.
· Following organisational policies, including safeguarding, equality and diversity and confidentiality.

Person Specification
Essential · Experience of working with volunteers, the public, or in an administrative or co-ordination role · Strong organizational and time management skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to work effectively as part of a team · Confident using email, spreadsheets, Office 365 and basic IT systems · Flexible approach to work, including occasional attendance at events and functions · Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail
Desirable · Experience in health, social care, community or voluntary sector settings · Knowledge of volunteer management practice · Experience supporting training or group activities · Understanding of safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion
