Can you offer 3 hours of your time? Budleigh Information Centre is run solely by volunteers and is looking for more volunteers to man our centre.
We operate as a Tourist Information Centre and Community hub. Our volunteers offer a warm welcome to visitors, providing information about Budleigh and the surrounding area. We also manage the beach hut hire for daily/weekly rentals on Budleigh beach, sell tickets for local events/festivals, provide information about the local community and sell maps, local crafts and 'Love Budleigh' merchandise.
No experience is needed as we will provide training and you will be supported by other team members.
During the summer, the centre is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. We operate morning shifts 10 am to 1 pm and afternoon shifts 1 pm to 4 pm. If you join our regular rota, you will join a shift team on your chosen day and normally be asked to cover the shift twice during a 3 week rota. You will stay with the same team, so its a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Alternatively, you can join our Reserve Team and decide if you would like to join a one-off shift when we require cover.
