Join us as a new trustee - we are celebrating our 50th birthday and you could help drive our vision into the future.
An exciting opportunity exists for new trustees to join our board, known as the Council of Management. We are at a dynamic stage of our history especially as we became a National Portfolio Organisation of the Arts Council of England in April 2023 with ambitions to grow and develop our activities.
The Plough Arts Centre is an independent theatre, cinema, gallery and workshop provider located in the heart of the community in the centre of Great Torrington. We are a non-profit UK registered charity overseen by a team of volunteers (called the Trustees).
We are seeking people to join the board with finance & accountancy, Charity governance and Fundraising. We would also value applications from people running businesses within the local or wider community (especially Torrington or Bideford). However, if you have leadership experience in the arts or creative industries or other skills you think would benefit the board, please don’t hesitate to apply as we would love to hear from you.
We particularly welcome applications from younger people (18 - 30), and ethnic minorities as these groups are underrepresented on the board.
The application and selection process are open ended - we welcome applications at any time and if there are no board vacancies may suggest a temporary voluntary role within the organisation.
