This opportunity is for a person to run a Sea Cadet unit's store which contains uniform clothing and training equipment. You will demand, receipt, store and account for the equipment. There isn't a vast quantity of stores and as such the task isn't too time consuming or onerous.
You would complete your tasks on a cadets' parade night so that you are available to issue equipment and clothing. As such you would meet the cadets and staff on a regular basis and be a key part of the team.
The role is administrative in nature and you would not be required to be a uniformed member of staff.
Whilst no experience is necessary, the role needs someone who is reliable, has an eye for detail, numerate, and has basic computer skills. Applications from retired military personnel with a supply/logistics background would be particularly welcome; though this is not a prerequisite for the job.
The unit is based on the upper floor of an MOD building to which the only access is by steps.
As the opportunity involves working with children a DBS check will be required.
