An introduction into measuring the impact of your work and how to promote and evidence the value that it brings.

· Are you trying to let people know about the great outcomes that have come from your project, but struggling to know where to start?

· Would you like to learn how to plan what your intended impact and outcomes are, and what you need to evaluate and evidence?

· Do you want to know more about the components of great storytelling for case studies and reports?

· Would you like to learn about qualitative data methods, and how to make them impactful?

Theory of Change (ToC) is a process of thinking through and documenting how a program or intervention is expected to work, why it will work, who it will benefit (and in what way) and the conditions required for success. It can be used at the beginning of any project to help with planning, decision making and evaluation.

What will the training include?

This is an introductory session, delivered by one of the team at Devon Communities Together, to thinking both strategically and practically about how you can show your impact and how you’re delivering your outcomes in your organisation or project. We will cover the power of storytelling for reporting purposes, how to make your reports and case studies stand out, and how you might gather information to evidence that. This is an interactive session with space for questions, discussion and exploration.

Participants will leave this session with a greater understanding about both planning and implementing a Theory of Change plan, as well as writing impactful reports and case studies. They will also gain a greater knowledge of creative methods of evidencing their impact.

Please note: funding of this session is available to VCSE organisations working within East Devon ONLY. If you are a Devon organisation that is not based or working in East Devon please book using the booking for general Devon organisations.
