The Heddon Howler is the last event in the ‘Dark Skies Series’ of night trail running events, the six event series spans from Brean Down in Somerset to Baggy Point in North Devon.
Comprising of 5km and 10km route options, The Heddon Howler utilises the Stunning Heddon Valley and the South West Coast Path to deliver a truly stunning 10km course with a cut across at the mid point for the 5km option.
This course is undulating but on good trails and tracks. Making your way around the course, you won’t be disappointed. Both routes start on the trails in the wooden Heddon Valley before climbing up to Higher point where you be treated to amazing moonlit views along the Exmoor coast towards Woody Bay and Valley of the Rocks. The 10km heads further east along the coast path before returning back along the old carriage way.
As part of our drive to make our events waste free we have chosen to make our bestoke wooden finishers medal an optional extra, those who love their race bling can purchase theirs when entering but must enter at least 2 weeks prior to race day.
This is an annual event as part of our Dark Skies Series of Night Runs in Somerset and North Devon
