About the activity
Sensory Badminton provides the opportunity for disabled people with complex needs to take part in badminton based activities in a completely accessible, meaningful and engaging way. Sessions will be tailored to suit individual needs to allow them to experience the sport in a way that is suitable for them. Taking part in these sessions will allow you to develop physical skills such as coordination and balance, whilst also building communication and social skills.
When does it run?
This session takes place fortnightly on a Sunday 10:00 - 11:00am
Who is this for?
This activity is suitable for disabled people with complex needs and open to children and young people aged 5-18 years.
Who is the activity leader?
The sessions are led by Sharon and David, two highly experienced badminton coaches and David even competes as a Para Badminton player! They are both super enthusiastic, friendly and patient.
Accessibility
The sessions take place in a sports hall at the Cranford Sports Club. There is plenty of free parking on site and step-free access to the building. There is a disabled toilet but no changing places facility available.
