Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with their literacy skills. We aim to change the lives of individual adults by providing them with the support they need to learn to read, and in turn opening doors for them to all sorts of new opportunities.
We are seeking Reading Coaches across North Devon to develop the literacy skills of adults who have difficulty with reading. A phonics based approach is used following a structured course consisting of five manuals and reading books. Coaches meet with their readers once or twice a week in an approved venue. Experience of working in social work, education and/or special needs is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
