Purpose of the Post:
Involve is a charity supporting and facilitating community action and resilience. This role is a key part of our
exciting new Big Lottery Reaching Communities funded ‘Communities that Can’ project. The project is
designed to connect residents, foster local engagement, and support local organisations through real-world
interactions. By offering connections through events, groups support, local directories, and volunteer
opportunities, we aim to create stronger, more vibrant communities across Mid Devon. We lead
neighbourhoods into supportive, interconnected networks where everyone feels at home. The ideal
candidate will have a solid understanding of project management principles and excellent organisational
skills. You will contribute to the project by providing support to the Project Manager as an integral part of
our ‘Communities that Can’ team. In addition, the successful candidate will assist in planning, organising,
and executing project activities, contributing towards the completion of project against defined milestones
and monitoring and evaluation.

• Personal, team and project objectives are met.
• All aspects of the project milestones are completed to deadlines.
• Effective monitoring and evaluation is achieved.
• The project manager is supported to complete her role effectively.
• Increased activity is happening within the community and as a result communities are inclusive,

• Positive changes in practice are implemented following learning from the co-design process and
evaluation where necessary.

Responsibilities
• Assisting the Project Manager in tasks such as project planning, scheduling and attending
community meetings.
• Preparing necessary documentation including meeting administration and monitoring documents.
• Drafting and coordinating presentation development and required attendees.
• Actively marketing and promoting the project within communities.
• Collecting evidence of outputs and outcomes including case studies, ensuring consistent
implementation of the monitoring and evaluation process together with the Project Manager.
• Working closely with the Project Community Builders to design community activities based on
learning, community communications and stakeholder engagement and inclusion.
• Being aware of and following policies and procedures, with particular attention to safeguarding,
health and safety, and equality and diversity.
• Managing the timeline and deliverables of the project effectively.
• Maintaining awareness of County and other initiatives and developments that present opportunities
for people to be more engaged and have influence over what happens in their community.
• Undertaking any other duties within your capabilities as may be required
