PERCEPTION GAP
A lost refugee. Who am I becoming? What do I stand for?
An evening of African Diaspora Performance with storytelling, music and traditional Syrian food. Sometimes serious, sometimes joyful, Perception Gap explores the psychological pressures facing an African refugee-outsider. Skewered between the expectations from back home and the challenges of conformity in his new country, our traveller is confronted with difficult questions of allegiance.
Performed, written & produced by Patrice Naiambana (Game of Thrones, Death In Paradise, The Baby and Damsel).
Live sound design / sax / flute by Ric White.
Lighting / Voices by Sara Hurley.
Produced by The Decolonial Salon, part of Villages in Action's From Devon With Love festival.
