Parkinson’s UK has a very active Northern Devon support Branch established recently with the merging of the Torridge and Barnstaple Branches.
The Branch is capable of enlisting the support of the national body as well as offering local services which it funds from its own resources.
These services include exercise and Pilates groups which improve physical wellbeing; voice support; regular coffee mornings and social events. There is nothing better for people living with Parkinson’s than being able to draw on the help, comfort and experience of others who have found themselves similarly afflicted and the Branch provides every opportunity for members to get together.
We work closely with seasoned healthcare professionals and continue to operate during the Covid pandemic using video conferencing and telephone calls.
Anyone seeking assistance who feels they would benefit from the Branch’s services, or who would like to get involved as a volunteer please contact us.
