Are you a student looking for work experience in the voluntary sector?

Would you like an opportunity to use your existing skills to really make a difference and learn some new skills along the way?

If you have a ‘can do’ personality and an interest in supporting your local community we’d love to hear from you!

 

What to expect from a placement at NDVS?

A placement within NDVS will give you an all-round experience of working in the voluntary sector.

You can expect to get involved with the following:

  • General administration support (e.g. replying to emails, scheduling meetings, answering the telephone)
  • Support social media, marketing, and promotion for NDVS and Volunteer groups.
  • Support to organising NDVS events and attend community events to raise the profile of volunteering.
  • Administration support for Devon Connect.
  • Support to updating our website.
  • Attending meetings as required.
  • Other office admin tasks to support the team and hosted projects.

 

What skills we are looking for?

We are a nurturing environment that encourages people to take ownership of their placement. Therefore, the following skills would be beneficial:

  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Teamwork
  • Communication skills
  • Someone who takes initiative and who has an interest in the voluntary sector.
  • Someone with a basic working knowledge of computers (additional software training will be provided).
