We are looking to recruit new group and specialist volunteers to join our team.

Whether that is for a regular commitment each week, or as a stand alone workshop, or perhaps a number of sessions over a year.

In order to find out what amazing skills, talents and specialisms are available in North Devon, our Supportive Care team are hosting an Open Day on Wednesday 17th July for potential volunteers to come and meet some of the team, gain a better understanding of how we support our patients and their families at the hospice, and for the therapists to let us know how they feel they could support our work.

What is your area of expertise?

We are open to a variety of specialisms such as, but not limited to:

    • Acupuncture
    • Art therapist with experience in creative group work
    • Breathwork specialist
    • Beauty therapist
    • Carpenter who can support Patients to complete projects here at the hospice
    • Chiropody
    • Complementary Therapist - Reiki, Aromatherapy Massage, Reflexology
    • Ex nurse/therapist, looking to support patient social contact
    • Forest skills and outdoor therapy worker
    • Gardener with therapeutic or OT/nursing background
    • Hairdresser
    • Mindfulness practitioner with experience leading others
    • Music therapist
    • Occupational therapist
    • Podiatry
    • Tai Chi Instructor or other gentle exercise provider who can adapt to meet patient needs
    • Wildlife and outdoor enthusiast, who has worked with groups
