The Railway Collection at Newton Abbot Library is delighted to announce the return of its fourth Model Railway Show, taking place on Saturday 14 November 2026.
The event will be held from 10am to 4pm at the Passmore Edwards Centre, home of the Railway Collection, and promises an enjoyable day for railway enthusiasts, model makers, families, and anyone with an interest in Britain's rich railway heritage.
Admission is £3 for visitors aged 16 and over, with all proceeds helping to support the preservation and continued development of the Railway Collection. Entry is free for children and young people under 16.

Model Railway Layouts
Explore an impressive selection of model railway layouts in a variety of gauges, including HO, OO, Narrow and Electric Garden Gauge. Admire the exceptional craftsmanship, detailed local scenery and intricate miniature worlds, with several layouts making their debut at this year's show.

Step into the past, present and future of railways as you journey through four exciting eras. Discover Victorian railways, solve steam engine challenges, design your own train, and imagine the trains of 2126! With hands-on activities, games, photo opportunities and plenty of railway-themed fun, there’s a time-travelling adventure waiting for everyone.

Take a break at The Owl and the Pussycat Coffee House, our on-site café, where you can enjoy a selection of freshly prepared food, homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks throughout the day.
Getting Here & Accessibility
The Railway Studies and Modellers Show takes place throughout Newton Abbot Library, with exhibits located on the ground, first and second floors. All areas are accessible by lift as well as stairs.
The library is conveniently located just a 20-minute walk from Newton Abbot railway station and around five minutes' walk from the town's bus station. Ample paid parking is also available nearby.
