Make a positive impact in a young person's life by committing to a few hours, once a month with up to £30 per visit expenses including travel, reimbursed.

We are looking for positive male role models to befriend a young person in care and meet once a month. The monthly visit may include going for a cycle ride or a walk (park or beach);  watching a local football match once a month;  a hot chocolate or a meal, the cinema; whatever the young person chooses (within reason).

National Youth Advocacy Service empowers young people in the care system to have their voice listened to. Our trusted adults act as "befriender, mentor, role model" - someone who takes them out on a fun activity once a month, for a minimum of two years. Children in the care have complex needs and an INDEPENDENT person who gives their time VOLUNTARY means a lot to their personal growth and development. To apply direct please visit Befriender - independent visitor service volunteer
