We are looking for an individual to join us as Local Policing Support Volunteer supporting the Surfwell team. Surfwell is based on surf therapy and is an academically proven treatment method for mental health issues, stress, PTSD and emotional disorders. At a basic level it is about learning a new challenge, overcoming fears and talking about mental health.
The taskings may include; administration of the referral process, assisting with emails and circulations, updating spreadsheets, assisting with streamlining and developing the referral process.
Although there will be no direct involvement with participants, sensitivity around the nature of the project is essential.
This role would suit someone who;
• Has an interest in mental wellbeing and alternative and innovative approaches.
• Has an interest in being part of a supportive and inclusive team but is also able to support independently.
• Has strong IT skills.
• Has excellent communication skills.
• Is proficient in the use of all Microsoft packages (Excel, Word etc.)
• Is willing to learn and assist with development of programme.

Mileage expenses for personal vehicles will be paid at 45p per mile.
