Join us for a creative morning learning how to craft a living willow structure.
At this workshop you will learn basketry techniques to create a living willow structure, such as a dome, tunnel, teepee or wigloo, in the grounds of Quince Honey Farm. Working together in groups, you will learn how to mark out, plant and weave to craft your living structures. You will also learn how to prepare and grow willow, and the care and maintenance required for the structure to flourish and evolve. You will go away with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make your own willow living structure at home.
This is a fun workshop for both adults and children. Families with children aged 10+ can enjoy this hands-on experience together, or adults can come on their own to learn this ancient craft. Book now for an enjoyable and creative experience!
