Read Easy Plymouth is here to help any local adult to learn to read, or to improve their reading skills.

We offer FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, 1:1 coaching in and around Plymouth.

Everyone involved with Read Easy Plymouth is a volunteer. Our small management team works with a group of coaches who receive training from Read Easy UK. We match the coaches with local adults who come to us either directly, or via a range of agencies in the Plymouth area.

Coaching sessions take place twice per week, for 30 minutes at a time, at a convenient local venue, such as a library. We use the Turning Pages set of reading manuals, published by the Shannon Trust. These are geared specifically at adults and the content and subject matter reflect that. There are 5 books in the set, and readers are awarded a certificate on completion of each. Out of our 20 readers, we have already awarded about a dozen certificates, showing how well our readers are doing!
