Encompass Southwest is a registered charity based in Barnstaple, North Devon who work with people who find themselves homeless, rough sleeping or in crisis. An important park of our work is focused around system change and we have recently secured some funding to develop a selection of podcasts which will track our journey and which we can use as a learning tool to share with the system. In addition to this we are looking to upgrade our scaadevon.org website for it to become a valued resource for the system and our social media platforms for the System Change Action Alliance (SCAA)
Responsibilities:
Social Media:
- To create engaging content for Encompass southwest and the SCAA social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram)
- Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and engagement opportunities.
- Respond to comments and messages, fostering positive interactions with our online community.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement social media campaigns.
Website (WordPress):
- To update the SCAA website with regular content
- To deal with any trouble shooting issues linked to the website.
Podcast Media:
- To support in the creation of our podcasts
- To promote the podcasts on our website and social media
- To attend SCAA meetings in person or virtually.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in and understanding of social media platforms.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creativity and a keen eye for visual design.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
