Don't miss this great opportunity to come and learn to play some authentic West African Rhythms. This FREE 4 week course is provided by the Devon Recovery Learning Community in order to promote positive mental well-being and funded by the Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
During the 4 weeks we will be exploring some traditional West African djembe rhythms as well as the context in which they are played. We will reflect on how playing the drum can enhance your quality of life, giving a form of expression, a sense of belonging and a means by which to release stressand overcome anxiety. - Most of all this will be a time to relax, forget your worries and have a good time.
The course will run weekly for 4 weeks starting on the 1st Feburary, 14:30 - 15:30 in the University Centre South Devon. Booking is essential.
