Get an overview and learn about using AI with confidence, how to write quality prompts and the importance of GDPR and ethical use.

  • Understand what AI is and how it works in everyday practice.
  • Learn how generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) can support key administrative and governance tasks (such as writing policies, funding applications, and reporting).
  • Master writing effective prompts that guide the AI to produce useful and accurate outputs.
  • Develop awareness of GDPR, data privacy, and ethical considerations when using AI.

You will leave this session with a greater understanding of how you can use AI tools to support your organisation.

What will the training include?

In this session you will learn the basics of what AI is and how it works, how to write quality prompts, the importance of GDPR compliance and ethical use and how AI can streamline your everyday tasks, from policy writing to donor engagement.

No previous experience is required. We will be using Copilot and you will be shown how to access this as part of the session. Please note this training is in no way endorsed by Microsoft.

There will be opportunities to ask questions, network and discuss the topic of using AI for VCSE groups.

If you would like a certain question or theme to be raised, please state this when signing up via Eventbrite when prompted.

Depending on the amount of requests, we will choose a selection to focus on.
