Retro Film Club: Aliens

Aliens continues the story of Ellen Ripley, the sole survivor of a deadly alien encounter years earlier. After drifting through space in hypersleep, Ripley is rescued and brought back to Earth, where her warning about the alien creature is initially met with skepticism. When contact is suddenly lost with LV-426, the moon where her original crew first encountered the deadly species, Ripley is persuaded to join a team of colonial marines sent to investigate.

Upon arrival, the team discovers that the remote human colony has been overrun by xenomorphs after the settlers unknowingly disturbed the alien hive. What begins as a routine reconnaissance mission quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival as the marines are ambushed by overwhelming numbers of hostile creatures. Communication is lost, casualties mount, and discipline breaks down under the relentless assault.
Ripley forms a protective bond with a young survivor named Newt, becoming more determined to escape and survive. As the situation worsens, she takes command, guiding the remaining survivors through the infested facility. The climax pits Ripley against the alien queen in a final confrontation, culminating in a dramatic escape and destruction of the hive. The film ends with Ripley and Newt safely escaping, having survived another brutal encounter.
