The Terrace Café supports the hospice by raising awareness of our work and providing an excellent spot for patients and families, volunteers, staff, donors and the general public to meet up and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere overlooking our stunning hospice gardens.
The kitchen porter directly impacts the pace of service, contributing to timely and satisfying dining experiences. Their attention to detail ensures our customers receive meals on spotless plates, elevating the overall impression of the café and enhancing its reputation
This is a varied role supporting our catering team with tasks such as pot washing, keeping the dishwasher room clean and tidy, returning dishes to their correct storage points. Collecting dirty dishes/trollies from the Terrace Café and helping to keep the Terrace Café clean and tidy by emptying the rubbish and recycling waste bins. You will need to be able to work in a flexible way to accommodate what may be required on the day.
The Café is open seven days a week and we are recruiting for the following shifts:
- Wednesday 8am till 12 noon (with a 15 min break)
- Thursday 8am till 12 noon (with a 15 min break)
- Friday 8am till 12 noon (with a 15 min break)
- Sunday 8 am till 12 noon (with a 15 min break)
We offer a taster session so you can come and meet some of the team and get a real understanding of what we are all about. Our next taster session is scheduled for:
- Monday 21st August @ 10.30am – 13.30am
