As a House Conservation Volunteer at Powderham Castle, you will play a crucial role in assisting our housekeeping staff with the conservation and maintenance of this historic estate. Your efforts will help ensure that the castle remains a pristine and welcoming place for all visitors, preserving its beauty and history for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litter Picking: Explore the castle grounds collecting and disposing litter, ensuring a clean environment.
- Dusting: Carefully dust historical artefacts, furnishings, and surfaces to prevent damage and maintain their appearance.
- Polishing: Polish various surfaces, particularly wooden elements such as our spectacular grand staircase, keeping them looking their best and protecting them from wear.
- Special Projects: Participate in specific conservation projects as needed, such as preparing rooms for special events or assisting with deep cleaning sessions.
