Holsworthy Food Projects runs two services supporting the people of Holsworthy – a Community Fridge, which makes surplus food freely available to all, and a Food Hub that provides low-cost food to people who are financially stretched. Both services are run almost entirely by enthusiastic teams of volunteers.
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Treasurer who will also serve as a Financial Trustee on our board. This vital role involves maintaining the charity's financial records, supporting volunteers with financial information, and ensuring we uphold best financial practices and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will report to the Board of Trustees and assist in shaping the charity's financial strategy. While experience in preparing and filing final accounts with Companies House and the Charity Commission is advantageous, it is not essential.
Holsworthy Food Projects is currently a Community Interest Company, but we are working on conversion to a Charity.
