Nestled in a quiet valley just a couple of miles outside of Barnstaple, near Snapper, there is a beautiful patch of land about 20 acres in size. This patch of land is the North Devon Scout Campsite, an activity base for all scouts in North Devon and is used by many hundreds of young people all year round.
Keeping this site running and ensuring it remains a safe place for all requires lots of ongoing maintenance. We are hoping to find practical help to maintain all parts of the site, jobs include:
- Mowing
- Tree management
- Strimming
- Fencing
- Weeding
- Machine maintenance
- General DIY
- Decorating
- Equipment management
You would be joining an active team of people and would have full training provided. This opportunity would be ideal for both someone who would prefer to work on their own or to be part of a larger team, the site is large enough with enough jobs that you can hide if you wish!
