We've recently been working to establish a really special garden at FiG HQ. Inspired by the principles of permaculture, we've created a memorial garden with a difference, where traditional plants of rembrance such as roses will thrive alongside plants renowned for their healing, soothing, and medicinal properties.
This garden is almost finished, but we're looking for volunteers to help us with weeding and general garden maintenance. Although those with green fingers are particularly welcome, no experience is necessary and you don't need to commit a huge amount of time - just one or two hours a month would be a big help.
This is a great opportunity to give back to your community and gain experience of working as part of a team to create a space for both members of the public and families supported by FiG to enjoy.
The office is located in central Barnstaple at Castle Lodge, North Walk. All equipment will be provided.
