We get by with a little help from our friends…
Every single one of our volunteers helps us provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon who are impacted by a life limiting illness. We really value the time all our volunteers give to us and you will be making a real difference to our patients and their families at their most vulnerable time.
Are you 18 or over and would you like to support the hospice by volunteering as a Front of House volunteer assistant in our lovely Terrace Cafe? The Cafe is the heart of the hospice, whether it's for our families and their loved ones, our visitors and social groups, other volunteers or hospice staff. Our visitors may choose to take a seat inside the cafe for a cuppa and a slice of cake or on the terrace on a beautiful sunny day, the Terrace Cafe is a warm and friendly focal point for many at the hospice. Your role will be to make sure all of our visitors receive a warm welcome from the moment they step through the doors, showing visitors where they can sit, taking orders, keeping the cafe clean during service and ensuring our visitor's experience in the cafe is a positive one.
We are looking for support on Saturdays 8.30am - 12.00pm and Wednesdays or Thursdays 12.00pm - 4.00pm
If you would like to find out more information please contact the Catering Manager, Katie Dingley, Tel: 07701 223755
