About the Event

A wellbeing drop-in facility with free tea, coffee and professional counsellors on hand, including various eco-therapy activities such as Craft Workshops and Forest Bathing walks.

This gentle exploration of the healing power of Nature incorporating Shinrin Yoku practices and mindfulness is based at The Glade in North Woods, Dartington. The sessions are about relaxing, healing, meeting others, having fun and discovering just how incredible nature is and how we are part of Nature.

Event Leader: Stefan Batorijs is a qualified psychotherapist, environmentalist, adventurer and previous depression sufferer. Stefan runs international training courses in Shinrin Yoku, lectures at Plymouth University in the Clinical Psychology department and is the founder of Nature & therapy UK.

Run by the Woods for Wellness Project and funded by the National Lottery.

When

The drop-in sessions are open on regular fortnightly Tuesday’s between 18th April – 12th December from 12.15pm – 4.15pm (see exact dates and timings as some do differ) and learn how Nature can support our recovery from mental health issues.

These sessions are completely free and open to anyone over 18 year old. A GP’s referral is not necessary as this is a social prescribing project.
