We are now seeking dynamic and committed Head Coaches to join our team. These roles are available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility for the right candidates.
Role Purpose
The Head Coach will play a leading role in the delivery of Saints Southwest programmes across Education, Community, and Football Development. The role combines high-quality coaching delivery with wider responsibilities for supporting programme standards, mentoring coaches, and ensuring the values of Saints Southwest are upheld in every session.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality coaching sessions across schools, community programmes, and football development centres/academies.

Lead sessions that are inclusive, engaging, safe, and age-appropriate, meeting Saints Southwest’s coaching philosophy and values.

Act as a role model for players, schools, and the wider community.

Support the management of programmes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Assist with recruitment, mentoring, and development of assistant coaches, apprentices, and volunteers.

Support the growth and retention of participants across all programmes.

Represent Saints Southwest in schools, community events, and football environments.

Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies.

Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and stakeholders, maintaining a professional and approachable manner.
Essential Criteria
-
Minimum FA Level 2/UEFA C Licence (or working towards).

Proven coaching experience in schools, community, or grassroots football.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to safeguarding and creating safe environments for children.

Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).

Driving licence and access to transport.
Desirable Criteria

Level 3 Coaching Qualification/UEFA B Licence (or working towards).

Experience delivering PE curriculum and extracurricular clubs in schools.

Experience in mentoring or leading other coaches.

First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.

Strong links within schools, grassroots football, or community sport.

Experience delivering holiday camps, tournaments, or events.
