We’re bringing our Living Well with Sight Loss event to Barnstaple, and we need friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help us create a warm, welcoming day for the North Devon community!
How You Can Help

Warm Welcomes & Conversation: Chat with visitors, offer a friendly ear, and help attendees navigate the venue.

Tea & Coffee Station: Keep the brews flowing throughout the day to keep everyone refreshed.

Cream Tea Distribution: Help us serve delicious, traditional Devon cream teas between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

General Event Support: Assist the Devon in Sight team and our fantastic local exhibitors (including Age UK Devon, Optelec, HumanWare, and SpaMedica) to keep the event running smoothly.

Date & Time: Monday 21st September 2026, 9:00am – 3:00pm (Flexible shifts available)

Location: Roundswell Community Centre, Gratton Way, Barnstaple, EX31 3NL

Parking & Access: Fully accessible venue with up to 3 hours of free parking next door at Sainsbury’s. Permits are available for those wanting to help for the full day.
Whether you can spare a couple of hours or join us for the whole day, your support will help make a real difference for people living with sight loss in our community. (And yes, there’s a cream tea in it for you!)
