Join us for an unforgettable weekend of adventure and wonder as we celebrate the magic of Exmoor’s pristine night skies. Our Dark Skies Weekend perfectly complements the renowned Exmoor Dark Skies Festival (17th October – 2nd November), offering you the chance to experience some of the darkest, most spectacular skies in England.
Nestled on the shores of Wistlandpound Reservoir at the edge of Exmoor National Park, Calvert Devon sits in an officially designated Dark Sky Reserve with minimal light pollution – making it the perfect spot for stargazing. Our location is recognised as a Go Stargazing Site, where on clear nights you can see thousands of stars, planets, and even the Milky Way stretching across the heavens.
Your weekend includes everything you need for the perfect autumn getaway: Start Friday evening with a gentle lake walk followed by dinner and a cosy quiz or games night. Saturday brings two exciting activity sessions alongside our highlight evening of telescope stargazing, bonfire with s’mores, and dancing. Sunday rounds off with a final morning activity before departure after lunch.
