We are looking for engagement volunteers in our House and Carriage Museum at Arlington Court! Come join our team and help play a part in the work of the National Trust, aiming to restore nature, end unequal access and inspire millions.
Arlington Court is situated near Barnstaple, in North Devon and is comprised of a 19th century mansion house, a Victorian garden and the National Trust's collection of horse-drawn carriages. These are all situated within a 2,500 acre estate.
What does the role involve?
- Welcoming visitors into the House and Carriage Museum.
- Answering questions or queries regarding the House, Carriage Museum and wider estate (no prior knowledge required!)
- Getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures.
What do we ask from volunteers?
- To be a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors.
- An enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn about the history of Arlington and the collection of carriages.
- To respect and uphold the National Trust values during volunteering.
- To complete all required training and inductions and adhere to relevant policies.
