We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to lead fun, free tennis sessions in Westward Ho!

When & Where:

  • Day:Saturdays or Sundays
  • Time:10:00 – 11:00 AM

Location: Westward Ho! Tennis Courts

Who Can Join:

  • Everyone is welcome! You do not need any experience
  • Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

What’s Involved for Activators:

  • Complete a 2–3 hour online training course
  • Undergo an LTA volunteer DBS check (usually returned within 14 days)
  • Receive a “next steps” email to create a ClubSpark account

 

What’s Provided: Each park receives a full equipment pack, including:

  • 8 adult rackets
  • 20 junior rackets
  • 150 balls (red, orange, green)
  • Court markers, barrier tape, clipboard
  • First aid kit
  • Mesh and wheeled bags for easy transport

What’s the Goal: Barclays Free Park Tennis is designed to:

  • Make tennis accessible to everyone
  • Provide a welcoming space for beginners or those returning to the sport
  • Offer a free, organized opportunity to play—even if you don’t have equipment or a playing partner
