This combined East Devon Bitesize session will help VCSE organisations feel clearer, more confident and more creative when promoting their work. You’ll explore how to identify the key messages that will resonate with your audiences, then learn practical ways to turn those messages into professional looking posters, e-flyers or graphics using Canva.
What will the training include?
This two-hour online session brings together practical marketing messaging and simple design skills. You will look at how to capture the attention of your audiences, work out the key benefits of your organisation’s offer and how to shape messages that help people understand why your work matters.
You will then explore how to turn those messages into promotional materials using Canva, including posters, e-flyers or social media graphics. The session is designed to be accessible and practical, with no design experience required.
The training will include:
- How to identify messages that will resonate with your target audiences
- How to explain the value and benefits of your organisation clearly
- Practical tips for creating professional-looking promotional materials
- An introduction to using Canva for posters, e-flyers and images
- Time to ask questions and reflect on how the learning applies to your organisation
Why should I attend?
If you find it difficult to know what to say about your organisation, or you struggle to create promotional materials that look clear and professional, this session will give you a practical starting point. It is ideal for East Devon VCSE organisations that want to promote their services, events, volunteering opportunities or community activities more effectively.
You do not need any design experience, and Canva does not need to be downloaded or installed. Basic digital confidence, such as being able to use email, will help you get the most from the session.
