Join us at the Devon Community Resilience Forum for networking, discussions and presentations about building resilience in Devon communities.
The forum is for anyone interested in community resilience. This includes town and parish councils, voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, and community groups.
The main activity is a practical emergency response exercise led by Harriet Freestone from JBA Consulting, who are one of the worlds leading environmental and engineering consultancies and spcialise in combining analytical, engineering, social and nature inspired solutions for tackling community resilience:
Preparing for a Storm: How would your community respond to an emergency?
- What would you do immediately?
- Who should you contact?
- Do you have the resources you need?
This practical exercise will help you develop or test YOUR community plan. Bring your own plan or work with one of our examples – we’ll provide:
- A real-life emergency scenario
- Guidance on response strategies
- Tips on managing unexpected challenges
More information about JBA Consulting can be found here https://www.jbaconsulting.com/who-we-are/
The event is FREE and a light lunch is provided.
