Memory Café takes place between 10:30 and 12:30 every Tuesday.  Please contact us if you wish to find out more or join in.

Lunch Club takes place every Wednesday 12:00 until 14:00 – places need to be booked in advance. £5 for a two course meal, transport may be available.

Soup-er Thursdays take place every Thursday from midday.  £2 for soup and a roll, or a ploughman’s lunch and a hot drink.  Places to be booked.  Lunch is followed by board games or a film.

Visually Impaired Reading Group (VIP) – The first Thursday of every month from 14:00-16:00, call and ask for Celia to find out more.  This has now been opened up to those without sight impairment.

Bereavement Group – Please contact Andie Day or Celia Stevens if interested as this is not an ‘open’ group. Meetings will be advertised about month before the next group is about to start.

AA Alcoholics Anonymous – meeting in our café space every Thursday at 18:30.   To join a meeting call the national helpline 0800 9177 650, or you can short circuit this by calling Ken (Sigrist) on 01803 770900 or call/text Ken on 07795 324 456

Table Top Gaming Group – open to all aged 18+, taking place every Wednesday from 18:00 – 21:00.  Please call and ask for Lucy, to book your place. 

Baby Weigh and Play – Held fortnightly on a Friday, 10:00 to 12:00. A group with toys, crafts, sensory activities, and an opportunity to meet others. Parents and carers can weigh babies using self-weigh scales. Older siblings of pre-school age welcome too. Upcoming dates: 14 June, 28 June, 12 July, 26 July. Contact April or Leah for more information.

Monday Makers – A monthly group of creative making for wellbeing, on a Monday 11:00-13:00. There are several activities at each session and all attending are welcome to bring ideas and interests to share. Upcoming dates:  17 June, 15 July. Contact April or Kate for more information.

  2. Dementia Liaison Service – please call/email and ask for Natasha.
  3. Carer support
  4. Volunteer Patient Transport – Our team of volunteer drivers are available to help you get to medical appointments in Dartmouth, Totnes and all local major hospitals. We also offer two hours driving every Wednesday morning and afternoon.  This is only for patients who cannot access GP and Clinic services at the Health and Wellbeing Centre, by other means.  This will operate from 09:00-11:00 and again 14:30-16:30. Please contact us to book a journey.
  5. Palliative Care Service – in partnership with Dartmouth Medical Practice – please contact Andie Day or Celia Stevens for more information.
  6. Social Prescribing – in partnership with Dartmouth Medical Practice – to find out more please contact Kate Cooke.
  7. Citizens’ Advice – Every Tuesday afternoon from 13:00-16:00
  8. Counselling – to speak to us about this please call and ask for Karen.
  9. Job Centre Plus (JCP) – Outreach workshops for their clients every Thursday by invitation from JCP. The aim is to make access to their services simpler avoiding the need to travel to Totnes.
  10. Home from Hospital support – to assist patients on discharge with basic items and liaise with the Support team for other needs such as Attendance Allowance and Blue Badge.
  11. Shopping and Prescription deliveries – we will do our best to help you in the short term, after discharge from hospital, medical crisis, or specific issue that makes it difficult for you to get out and about. We cannot offer a regular shopping service at this time. Call with your request and we will do our best to meet your needs.
  12. The Friday Hub at Townstal Community Hall – The home of Dartmouth Food Bank, attended by several service providers such as LiveWest and CA, and attended by Dartmouth Caring Support Workers every fortnight
  13. Gardening – managing the garden area here for all users, staff, patients and clients – including building raised beds – open to anyone – patients, clients, staff…..
