What is Connect 5?
- Connect 5 is an evidence-based training programme designed to promote mental health by changing the way we have conversations about mental wellbeing.
- It is comprised of three modules, each incremental in terms of skill development. Participants can attend 1, 2 or all 3 modules, but they must be completed in order (starting with Module 1).
What does Module 1 cover?
- Introduction to public mental health models and recognised techniques, including the Crossed Axes Model of Mental Health, 3Cs of Connected Conversations and the 5 Areas Model.
- How to signpost to local mental wellbeing services and resources that enable people to help themselves.
Am I eligible for this course?
- This course is only available to those aged 16 or above who are currently living, working and/or studying in Devon, Plymouth or Torbay.
- Participants will need to access the course via Zoom on a device with a working microphone and camera. To ensure the wellbeing of everyone attending, all participants will be required to keep their camera on for the duration of the training.
- This is an entry-level course; no previous training or experience is required.
