As a complementary therapy volunteer you will be joining a small friendly team of therapists offering our patients' appropriate therapies according to their needs and your specialism.  This is an opportunity to bring your unique talents and training to the hospice for the benefit and support of our patients wellbeing, and that of their loved ones, in our beautiful dedicated therapy rooms.

We are specifically looking for qualified Body Work specialists i.e. Reflexology or Massage.  You will need your own insurance and be a member of a governing or professional body relevant to your field of training. You will be asked to provide documented evidence of your insurance and membership at interview and on an annual basis.

We aim to offer patients’ a minimum of 1 hour per visit, once a week, with you seeing from two to four patients per day, this can vary due to levels of demand for the service, and depending on your availability.  You will also be required to attend our Supervision Sessions (one Friday per month).

If you would like to find out more information please contact the Volunteer Office on 01271 347227 or email [email protected]

  • Closing date: Wednesday 14th August 2024
  • Interviews to be held: Monday 19th August 2024

Make time, make friends and make a difference.

It is important that the people who work for and with us, or access any of our services, can be themselves and are valued as unique individuals.  We welcome applications from all sections of the communities we serve, reflecting the uniqueness of each person, with the aim of continually improving our services.

We are a forces-friendly organisation and welcome applications from Veterans and Service spouses and partners.
