We'll be using the free website Microsoft MakeCode Arcade to build our game from nothing - and there will be time to playtest each other's creations at the end! Children can save their game to continue developing or playing at home if an adult logs in with their Microsoft (Outlook, Hotmail, etc) account.
This time, we'll be coding a summer picnic themed game, with the aim of catching food in a picnic basket. Be careful though, as you don't want to pack apple cores!
Written instructions will be available to make this a beginner-friendly activity and anyone who has coded with Scratch at school will be able to take part without trouble.
Under 8s will need a responsible adult present.
This is a free event, but booking is essential. Please phone the library or visit us during our opening hours to book your place.
