Chair of Trustees Dart Sailability Group

Due to on-going personal issues, Neil Strevens will be stepping down as a Trustee and Chair of Trustees of Dart Sailability Group at the AGM on 21st April 2026. The members are looking for someone to replace him who is interested in giving less able people in South Devon the opportunity to enjoy life on the River Dart and the freedom of controlling a boat without the restrictions of their condition. The role itself is administrative, but there is also lots of fun to be had during sailing sessions, if you wish; principally, the Chair leads the Trustees in funding the activities and ensuring that those activities comply with Charity Commission and Royal Yacht Association rules and guidance. They will have to be reasonably computer literate and willing to organise and lead meetings of Trustees and the General Membership, which currently stands at around 120, including nearly 50 less able sailors.
