Remap is a charity that helps disabled people of all ages to live more independent lives. Our national network of skilled volunteers design and custom-make equipment free of charge.
We help to improve quality of life and increase independence for disabled people through providing solutions to everyday problems when there is nothing commercially available.
We now need a Case Officer to support the activities of the panel in the Plymouth area. Ideally you will have some knowledge of disability and an empathy for our work, but above all you will be adept at administration and able to communicate across a range of settings.
Case officers are the bridge between individuals who seek our help and our volunteer teams. Case officers also link to Occupational Therapy and other Health Care Professionals, to ensure cases are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner. You will be:
- Able to call clients and discuss their referral
- Happy to connect with health professionals to discuss referrals
- Able to communicate with volunteers to allocate referrals
- Willing to support the chair in providing data at monthly meetings
- Able to access a computer and home working space
- Able to show sound IT skills including email, word and excel
- Able to use our internal IT systems
- Able to maintain confidentiality and secure record keeping
- Able to make phone calls during working hours and evenings as appropriate.
- Able to attend monthly meetings (in person or hybrid)
