The Grist Mill Café Bar is the social heart of Coldharbour Mill. A place for visitors, supporters, local residents and groups to visit for a hot drink, light lunch or slice of cake.
Our Café is supported by a team of brilliant volunteers, who enjoy talking with our visitors and working to give them the best experience possible when visiting the Coldharbour Mill Museum or just the café itself.
Its ideal setting next to the running water of the river culm, surrounded by rich heritage and the wonderful qildlife makes our café a perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by, meet a friend for a catch up or as a break from exploring the heritage of our Grade II* listed estate.
We are looking for volunteers to support the operation of the café on our open days at Coldharbour Mill (currently wednesday-friday). The tasks vary from taking orders, serving customers, making hot drinks, or preparing lunches - but thanks to our lovely visitors each day can be very different but with an outgoing and fun team keeping things running smoothly.
We are looking for people who might have some customer-facing experience, or has mayeb worked in a hospitality environment before. However, no experience in neccessary as you will be taught everything you need to know!
This work goes along way to support Coldharbour Mill Trust, who are responsible for maintaining our heritage site - keeping it preserved so that visitors can enjoy it for many years to come.
If this takes your interest please do get in touch!
