Taking part in this workshop you will:
1) Learn the relaxing art of paper folding with this ‘kusudama’ origami technique folded in repetition.
2) Reach a meditative and contemplative state as you repeat the rhythm of batch cutting and folding.
3) Enjoy designing flowers of mixed book paper and beautifully patterned origami papers. Even take the time to ink and spray your book paper to add unique creativity to your flower designs.
4) Magically transform a book with the power of persuasion as you create a vase base and a paper flower bouquet to bloom within the cover.
5) Finish with glue to join everything together and take it home to display your creation.
6) Continue your creativity at home with this addictive technique to add to your beautiful book bouquet, or even make more as gifts and decorations.
Optional to bring: your own book that you’d like to transform, long paper cutting scissors if you like to use your own rather than classroom craft safety scissors.
