Body Writes: Poetry & Yoga with Ceri Baker in the Rougemont Room at Exeter Library on Saturday 9th March & Saturday 30th March 2024. Each session runs from 10:00 to 11:30pm.
These 2 workshops are Pay What You Want taster workshops. The recommended donation is £4 per workshop, but feel free to give whatever you can. Book your place either in the Library or via Eventbrite: http://tinyurl.com/y5tkv4jx
If possible, it's recommended that you come along to both (though not a requirement.) Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. All donations will go back into our programme of events. Yoga mats will be provided.
In these 2 unique workshops over 2 Saturdays, we'll use a mixture of accessible yoga, breathwork, poetry, and creative writing, exploring writing to empower and connect with the body's lived experience. Led by award-winning poet, performer and current Bard of Exeter Ceri Baker, these are writing workshops with a difference!
All genders, ages, life and writing experience welcome. This is a 16+ workshop, aimed at those carrying a bit of body/life experience to process through writing.
The workshops have a therapeutic nature although they are not strictly therapy and participants are requested to only go as deeply as they feel safe to do so and to respect the emotional boundaries of themselves & others.
