Join us for an Audioart and Podcasting workshop for young people aged 11-16 every Thursday from 4-5:30pm at Bideford Library.

Sessions are completely free. Equipment and Refreshments provided.

We provide a safe, stimulating and creative space for young people and children to learn audio editing and recording skills. Now with the help of Bideford Library, we are embarking on continuing from the last set of workshops just before Christmas to expand our provision with the following sessions.

All future sessions will now be split into 3 blocks as follows:

  1. Audioart with introduction to Podcasting
  2. Creating a Podcast / Radio Show + Jingle Making
  3. Creating Visuals for Media and Publishing
Sessions are currently every Thursday from 16 Jan...onwards
Enquire by contacting us at Ace Holds The Space or with Bideford Library

Times: Every Thursday 4 - 5:30pm. Refreshments provided.

All our sessions have several computer laptops, an array of recording equipment as well as a variety of editing software programmes to suit different learning styles. We use storyboarding and visual presentations to assist each participant to excel in their creations.

Making sound collages, interviewing and showcasing their work builds incredible new confidence. Activities such as interviewing helps them to connect with others with a buffer from being directly in the spotlight. We have noticed some changes in the childrens' confidence from attending our sessions!

The exciting bit however, is that all participants having completed at least 2 of the blocks will have an opportunity to join a Field Trip later this year, free of charge. This will involve going out (supervised) into the community to gather creative content either at a local community event or at an event held by the Library. This will help them connect with their communities as well as support them in building up their own portfolios.

Booking is essential, call 01237 476075 or email [email protected].

Please note this if for 11 - 16 year olds.
If you require a workshop for 16+ and for organisations requiring assistance, please enquire with Ace Holds The Space at: [email protected]
