We are looking for rider volunteers to help us provide our Free Blood Bike service throughout Devon, support the NHS, helping to save lives, improve patient outcomes, and save the NHS and Hospices money too!
You could help us do this as a Blood Bike volunteer if you meet the following criteria:
Need to live within 30 minutes of one of the major hospitals in the county of Devon
Aged 25 plus, and held a full licence for at least two years
Must hold one of the following advanced rider qualifications:
The Institute of Advanced Motorists. (IAM)
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) at Silver or Gold Standard only
The BMF Blue Riband Certificate at Silver or Gold Standard Only
Police advanced riding certificate
Armed forces advanced riding certificate
Diamond advanced riding
DSA Enhanced Rider scheme, with ‘A’ grades across all modules
Have only “minor” offences and no more than six penalty points on your licence
Willing to ride in most weather, or transfer and continue duty in the car if needed
Happy to help out with Fundraising events as needed as well as riding
Happy to commit to at least three shift days a month as a minimum
