Stepping Stones Totnes CIC, runs the Totnes food bank, TQ9 food club, Warm Hearts Cafe (free- donations welcome), Jumblelows Rail (second hand clothes for a donation), free art and crafting sessions and Warm Space social space from St John's Church, Bridgetown, Totnes.

As our projects grow we are in need of more volunteers on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays to cover all our activities.

We are in special need of volunteers who can commit (within reason) to certain days of the week, attend regularly and arrive on time in order to help us deliver a reliable, smooth-running service.

There's something to do for most people.

For those in physical good health tables need putting up and taking down, boxes lifting, ladders climbing, food donations collecting and delivering etc.

Alternatively, we need others to meet and greet our clients and food club members; register their attendance, handle money, greet visitors, accept donations, answer the phone, give out simple signposting information, update our FaceBook page, and help people with their food parcels. We also have people helping in the cafe, processing, decanting and shelving our food donations, and helping with the arts and crafting sessions. Sometimes visitors just want to enjoy the space and chat.

We offer a friendly, inclusive, non-judgemental service to people from all walks of life in the TQ9 area, treating everyone with dignity and respect. We also have loads of laughs, and enjoy each others company. If this sounds like you, please get in touch.

The hours we really need to cover are between 12:00 am - 7:00pm on a Monday, 12:00am - 3:30pm on a Thursday and 12:00am - 3:30pm on a Friday. Cafe set up from 11:30am.
