A support circle for anyone with a
life limiting diagnosis
How do we live fully and richly at this stage of life?
How do we walk towards our mortality, rather than running from it?
How to we hold both grief and joy, life and death, hope and reality?
This group will provide a safe, held space to enable you to meet and share with others who are going through a similar experience.
Receiving a life limiting diagnosis can be an isolating experience, even for those with a good support network. It can be difficult to talk to family and friends, as they often want to “fix” us or find it facing the future too painful to talk about. The group will connect you with others who, whilst not in the same boat, at least are on the same sea!
Each session will have a different theme, or question to explore. We will hold sharing circles where we sit in witness to one person at a time. Few opportunities in life allow us to be fully heard and it can be very empowering. There will also be open discussions where we can learn from and be inspired by each other.
We meet at The Quaker Hosue, Ashburton on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, from 14.00 - 16.00.
